Arizona Center for Youth Resources (ACYR) in the High Rising Schools of Phoenix.
The ACYR was created for students who had either dropped out of school or who were at risk of dropping out. The program was made to address the high dropout rate in the Phoenix Union High School District. They offer a variety of re-engagement opportunities, including supplemental academic preparation and career exploration so students can receive their GED.
The ACYR gives kids a sense of safety and structure to foster good relationships with the program’s mentors to guide them through the challenges of adolescence. The team is comprised of 55 experienced professionals and support staff to help youths going through a hard time.
